Maier is inspired by the metal work of the industrial revolution and the unique shapes, angles, and curves of the many metal bracketed pieces found on the antique chests and trunks found in the archives of the Henry Ford Mueseum. With angular curves that lead to sharp lines and protruding nodes that almost connect the letters together.
